Metro Atlanta Innovation Indicators Project (2014)

The Metro Atlanta Innovation Indicators Project is the first comprehensive evaluation of innovation data for the 29-county Metro Atlanta region and illustrates how the region is performing on thirteen different measures of innovation relative to its own history and compared to other regions throughout the U.S. that are recognized as innovation leaders.

As the global economy is increasingly driven by innovation-based industries, remaining competitive requires keeping pace with other regions when it comes to developing and retaining talent, attracting innovative companies, developing new technologies and producing new products for export. By tracking a series of innovation measures, a more complete picture of a region's innovation capacity becomes apparent and can be evaluated and acted upon allowing the region to compete in the 21st century economy.
